Name's John, 22-year-old, true child of Mother Earth and a caveman from Rethymno, Greece. I'm interested in heavy metal music, Dungeons and Dragons, fantasy, horror, philosophy and anything obscure and gloomy. "The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog."

Curious about fungi? Join the Friends of the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge on Wednesday, October 22 at 7:00 pm for a presentation by Lawrence Milman, mycologist, Arctic explorer, and author of 16 books.

Fungi are an integral part of the environment and the world’s best recyclers. While all mushrooms are fungi, not all fungi are mushrooms. At this presentation, you’ll learn about everything from the 300-pound Noble Polypore fungus to Emily Dickinson’s mushroom phobia. Please note that this presentation will not focus on edibles!

This talk is a presentation of the Friends of the Assabet River NWR and will take place at the Assabet River Visitor Center at 680 Hudson Road in Sudbury, MA. Talks are free and open to the public. For more information about Friends programs, membership, and the Refuge, please visit www.farnwr.org.

Kodamas (木霊): are mythical spirits of Japan, inhabitants of the thick woods. They usually have a human appearance and each individual is unique in appearance and personality. It is said that can occur in non-human forms, and can appear as beautiful or terrible as they wish. Most cases appear to have an adorable look.
